Preparing for Your Visit

Genesis Surgery Center Registration Process

Once a procedure is recommended, your physician’s office will contact our scheduling coordinator to arrange a date and time for you.

Please note: If you are ill or experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath, or body aches, please do not enter the facility. You may contact us for any questions.

On January 2nd, 2024, Genesis Surgery Center will be transitioning to the Genesis Surgery Center Patient Portal. The new portal will be providing our patients the convenience and privacy of a secure, online, registration process through SIS Link

If you are a patient scheduled for a procedure in December 2023,  please click the link below to complete your Simple Admit registration process. You will be asked about your health history, medications, and previous surgeries on these documents so please have that information available.

If you are a patient whose procedure is scheduled after January 1st, 2024, you will receive an email or text message welcoming you to the new Genesis Surgery Center Patient Portal.

This portal will allow you to complete your pre-surgical questionnaire online instead of answering these questions over the phone.  When you complete the online questionnaire, your responses will be reviewed by a nurse, who will contact you by phone if there are any additional questions.

You will also have access to your pre-surgical instructions and can access them at any time by clicking on the link in the email or text message.

FAQ

  • Do I need to download an app for this?
No, by clicking the link in the email or text message, you will be brought to the login screen in your web browser.
  • Do I need to create an account and a password?
No, your secure link will allow you to log in using your name and date of birth.

If necessary, one of our pre-assessment nurses will contact you, within 5-7 days of your procedure, to ensure that all necessary lab work and other required medical tests have been completed and review your health history. Our nurse will also review any special steps that need to be taken before your procedure.

Procedures at Genesis Surgery Center are scheduled on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Ample parking is available close by. For your comfort and convenience, a relative or friend who accompanies you on the day of surgery will be able to drive right up to our door when you arrive.

You should plan to arrive at the surgical center an hour before your scheduled appointment unless instructed otherwise. You will be screened upon arrival  to the reception area. After a brief wait in the reception area, you’ll be escorted to the pre-op area for routine assessment, including a blood pressure check and other pre-operative steps.

Once your procedure is complete, you’ll be moved to a post-op area to be carefully monitored until your recovery from anesthesia is complete and you’re ready to return home.

Genesis Surgery Center was constructed with patient comfort in mind. After your procedure you may leave through a separate – more private – exit.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Genesis Surgery Center at 1-517-997-8161. We look forward to taking excellent care of you.
